“My work is called This is speculation and/or/not science and it is based on scientific research about how much space we inhabit over the years as we grow and shrink. It features four resin casted images on two layers: one of a photograph and one of an atypical graph for depicting different values that I calculated about how much time we spend horizontally, vertically, at a 90-degree angle, and how much space we take in a lifetime. Together with these four works I also have a framed photograph and a narrated text that poses questions. I will exemplify some here: ‘Can we calculate the square footage of space we took in time? How much time do you spend representing a 90-degree angle? Do you find horizontality to be more or less beneficial for your body? What about productive? Do you feel like your bodily intervention in the universe is needed?’. All in all, this was a long and ambiguously representational process of asking myself what kind of imprint we leave after we cease to exist and how to measure the human presence spatially and temporally by calculation and contemplation.”
