The tree and the carpet represent physical landmarks of space segmentation. One is public, in the open air, part of nature. The other one – intimate, private, domestic.

The events and traces left by them remain imprinted in their fibers with a similar cadence. The two record memory on both axes: vertical and horizontal, inside and outside.

As often in her photographic practice, Anca Țintea works with the relationship between presence and absence to focus on essential forms.
