Ioana Rusu’s What Fits in a Suitcase is a temporary public installation located in a bustling train station, a place frequented by countless travelers. Inspired by the spirit of train journeys and the chance to meet new people, the installation creates a miniature cabinet of curiosities.
The artist has filled the cabinet with personal items, inviting visitors to share their own experiences and create a collective narrative. This work explores the intersection between personal journeys and the broader context of the railway station, imagining a dialogue between individual stories and the larger reality of the moving infrastructure.
By connecting the images that reflect the country’s transportation system with the stories and interactions that unfold within the installation, we hope to foster a sense of shared experience and connection among visitors.
