The Vessel

The Vessel is part of my ongoing series, Liminal Spaces, which explores the concept of existing between worlds. During my urban and natural explorations, I carry LED shapes and silhouettes, seeking locations where I can spontaneously create ephemeral narratives.

This work focuses on the idea of a machine as a vessel for traversing new realities. The abandoned building becomes a temporary stage, a skeletal ship occupied by new characters and narratives. By briefly inhabiting this space, I aim to transform the building into a platform for imaginative exploration, introducing new personalities and backstories.

For this project, I shifted my approach, moving away from spontaneous installations and towards a more deliberate and site-specific approach. By focusing on a particular building, I aimed to create a work that was deeply rooted in its context, while still maintaining the ephemeral quality that characterizes my practice. The Vessel represents a bridge between my previous work and a new direction, combining elements of spontaneity and careful planning. Ultimately, the work remains temporary, leaving no physical trace but existing only in the photographic record.
